Al regreso de su viaje, y con el producto de la venta del vehículo a Moto Vespa S.A. y otras ayudas, fue instituído un premio a la mejor aventura juvenil de cada año, y «Dulcinea» fue exhibida por diferentes países. Actualmente descansa en el Museo de la Vespa de Génova (Italia).
